How to become a member
The first thing you need to do is to try the whole thing out. It is not only the question whether you will like it, but also whether you can fit into karts and mini buggies. If not, then that is not problem at all, there are regular buggies and big karts that you can find in almost any club, but to know you will need to try it first. The next step would be meeting up with a trainer who gives lessons and overlooks the whole track and he will be the one who can give you a membership.
What do you need to do?
Prices may vary, depending on how popular and visited the place is, but in most cases it is much less than the sum that you would pay if not being a member. There are no special protocols nor criteria that you need to meet in order to become a member, and in most cases those clubs are not invite - only. Therefore everyone can apply and wait until they are called up to come and set all the paperwork. However, a little problem may be the number of members that the club can take, and if it is full, you won't be able to jump in until someone leaves.
Memberships in mini buggy riders communities and kart clubs are often an important thing, like memberships in golf clubs. There will be parties, contests and even races and trips during one calendar year. But that makes the whole thing only more fun and exciting and it brings you the feeling of belonging somewhere and being a part of something important. In most clubs, there are no age limits, but you will come across some adult - only clubs where they don't want to do the extra work on making everything child safe. Either way, you kids won't want to join any clubs until they themselves can decide whether it is a hobby for them or not.
